Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Medical Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage the professional image and communication strategy for a prominent doctor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining the public image of the doctor, ensuring clear communication with patients, media, healthcare and organizations. This position requires a professional with a deep understanding of healthcare communication, patient engagement, and media relations, who can effectively enhance the doctor’s reputation within the medical community and the public at large.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute PR strategies to promote the doctor’s practice, expertise, and accomplishments in the medical field.
- Act as the main contact for all media inquiries, interviews, and public appearances, coordinating responses and ensuring consistent, accurate messaging.
- Create and distribute press releases, medical articles, and other communication materials to showcase the doctor’s professional achievements, new treatments, or participation in medical conferences.
- Manage the doctor’s online presence, including social media profiles, to provide accurate and current information, and respond to public or patient inquiries professionally.
- Coordinate public speaking engagements, webinars, and health awareness campaigns to ensure the doctor’s involvement is well-publicized.
- Collaborate closely with medical staff and administrative teams to ensure internal communication aligns with external messaging.
- Stay informed on healthcare trends, medical advancements, and public health issues to effectively position the doctor as a thought leader in the industry.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a healthcare-related field.
- Proven experience (at least 1 year) in public relations, preferably in the healthcare or medical industry.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear and accurate medical communications.
- In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry, medical terminology, and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Proficiency in digital communication platforms, including social media and healthcare communication tools.
